Day O’ Driving Across the Snow-Covered High Plains

18 12 2009

After a minor delay caused by a winter warning, and after exhausting Stacey’s capacity to eat any more barbeque, we set our sights on Colorado.  Ten hours and 628 miles later, we arrived in a chilly (read zero degrees!) Longmont, Colorado, at the home of Ron and Imrie (Stacey’s uncle and aunt).  It felt good to be “home” and to see those amazing mountainous structures rising up into the sky.  Now, all we need is a permanent home, a quick trip back to Seattle to pick up our stuff, and a couple of jobs.  Wish us luck!

By the way, thank you for following along on our journey.  We enjoyed all our visits and hope we can extend a warm welcome to you anytime you want to visit us.  We will continue to update the blog, though less frequently, and keep you posted on the chance encounters we stumble upon.

Stay close for lists and inventories of our trip!
